The right length depends on the look you love, your neckline, and how the chain sits on your body. Use this guide as a starting point, then measure a necklace you already own for the most reliable fit.

Lengths below refer to the full necklace measured end to end, including the clasp. The positions are approximate and can vary with neck size, height, pendant weight, and the design of the necklace.

How to choose your size
- Measure a necklace you like: Lay it flat, fasten the clasp, and measure the full length from end to end. Compare that measurement with the chart above.
- Or use a soft measuring tape: Wrap it around your neck at the point where you want the necklace to sit. Leave enough ease for a comfortable fit, especially for a choker.
- Check the product details: Look for the listed chain length, adjustable positions, or extender. A pendant may hang below the point where the chain rests.
Styling tips
For a neat collarbone look, try 40–45 cm. For a little more drape or a pendant, consider 50–60 cm. If you are layering, vary the lengths by about 5 cm or more so each piece has space to shine. The same chain may sit differently on different people, so your own measurement is the best guide.
Between sizes? Choose a longer length for a looser fit, or look for a necklace with an adjustable chain or extender. If you're choosing a gift and aren't sure, 45 cm is a common starting point, but check the recipient's preferred style where possible.
